BACKGROUND:So, if we're done measuring dicks, can you have your people show me what you found?
INCENTIVE/FIT:Interview with the movers & shakers. Plus will write a nice fluff piece.
SAMPLES:
The meeting hadn't been on her schedule yesterday, but there it was, a 4pm with someone from Eudio. She hadn't heard of them before, but they could be a new group or something. Stepping into the bathroom, she freshened up, then went to her meeting.
Lois walked in with a polite smile, her eyes curious. After the pleasantries, they both took a seat, Lois smoothing her skirt over her knees, waiting for the first salvo. She came to her, and Lois needed information.
OF course that information wasn't quite what she expected. To go to another world? And help power their city? By cuddling? Well, not just cuddling, but it works. Color her intrigued.
Lois sat back in her seat, her face carefully schooled to hide any hint of what she was actually thinking. She could go, see what really was going on, yet, she did have her job here. And well, after the near takeover by the Kryptonian rebels, Metropolis was a mess.
"If I did take the offer, what would sweeten the pot, so to speak? I do have a job here. I can't take a sabbatical." Well she could, but they didn't need to know that.
"Anything you want. We don't force people to come unless they want to." Was the prompt answer.
Well. That was interesting. They knew enough about her to look her up and yet they weren't going to kidnap her? Huh. That was setting off all sorts of alarms. But she could deny that it was also setting off questions of how the place worked, why they did that and how she was getting there.
Lois' fingers drummed the arm of her chair as she thought, just before she leaned forward, fixing the representative with a look.
"Well, I'll need a reason to go haring off. What if I write up something about the city? A nice fluff piece. I could use a palate cleanser after the recent troubles we've had here. And I would like the chance to interview the movers and shakers. Will that be possible?"
"We can arrange that."
Lois smiled. "Then we have a deal. I'll put in for a sabbatical."
